RMA Poole Branch was out again over the weekend of 27/28 June collecting for Armed Forces Weekend. This time the venue was Fishermans Walk in Southborne (Near Bournemouth). The event was combined with an annual Food & Dance festival called “Shake & Stir” so there was a great atmosphere with local residents and holiday makers enjoying the sunshine. A veterans March through the Southborne High street kicked off the weekend and was led by the band of the Royal British Legion. Much banter was had between the cap badges.

Another great team from RMA Poole Branch (A Team TWO!) manned the Royal Marines Charity gazebo in the military village and welcomed many visitors including serving and former Royal Marines and their families. It was a great opportunity to spread the word about our RMA and we may well see some new faces at our meetings.
This concludes two successive weekends of fund raising for RMA-TRMC and we are proud to have raised significant funds for the Corps Family. Thanks to RMA Poole members; Tommo, Simon, Ian and Dave for amazing support and a special mention to Mandy Polkey for the organisation of the weekend and inviting us along.
