Gardening duty called on a bright sunny – if not a little windy – Monday this week. New member Nikki joined me and we set to work on the tasks which were listed on Geof Haywood's instructions sheet. Principally; cutting the grass, de-weeding and dead-heading. We also put some weed and feed down on the grass, so today’s rain couldn’t have been better timed.

It was very pleasant work; we put up an RM flag to set the scene and enjoyed lots of chats with passers-by. We also had a visit from former Royal Marine Karl Guppy (Right) who was over from Perth Australia for his 286 troop reunion. Karl was accompanied by his friend Paul.
