On a bright sunny morning, Friday 13 September, family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to RMA member Geoffrey Alan Dyer.
The service was held at St Andrew's Church in Preston Weymouth and included members of Royal Marines Association Poole & District Branch and former Cadet Forces members. Geoff's family thanked the RMA for their cards of support and for being there on the day.
Geoff was a longstanding and valued member RMA-PDB. However, it is likely that few of us fully appreciated the huge impact he had in shaping the successful careers of many a Weymouth youngster through his work with cadet forces.
Geoff will be missed by his family and friends and all of us at RMA-PDB.
