The branch visit to HMS Queen Elizabeth on Friday, 2nd May.

Thanks to Sharky 2 for organising the day, which took several years to plan. Initially, we were supposed to visit the Prince of Wales, but due to several setbacks and the ship's operational commitments, the tour eventually took place on the Queen Elizabeth on Friday.

The visit proceeded as planned, largely due to the efforts of Lt Cdr Euan Martin & Lt Cdr David Smith, who kindly guided us in two groups around the ship and Lisa Saunders, the visit's officer.

In total, 22 members of the RMA, the Association, and RTRA, along with their wives, enjoyed a fascinating and informative tour.

For health and safety reasons related to the ships, our members were restricted to an upper age limit of 70, which was unfortunate. Consequently, the branch extended an invitation to our connected and sister associations to ensure the trip was fully utilised.
Those members who were unable to conduct the tour took the opportunity to visit the Mary Rose, and we all enjoyed lunch at the Ship and Castle.

It was an excellent day, and our thanks again go out to Lisa, Euan and David.
