The RMA-PDB met up at the Centenary Club last night and again we have new members both on our website and in the membership, which is fantastic news and the true benefit of not being behind the fence of our former location. A total of 48 members were present.
We also have a new permanent fixture within the club and we are extremely grateful to the club for allowing us to display our branch sign. It's really starting to look like we are home.
As our focus moves to November we look towards the annual remembrance period. 11th Nov Emmetts Hill 10:30 for 11:00 and on the 13 Nov, the Branch will be represented by standards and the laying of wreaths in Poole Park, Hamworthy Barracks and Broadstone Recreation Memorial. Members are encouraged to put on their Corps mufti (BBM) or winter coats and parade with us at Poole Park or the RBL Broadstone. The time and place to muster will be updated closer to the time.
Both the Centenary Club and the RBL Club in Broadstone are laying on a reception after the parade with entertainment, so please come along.
Quick survey, I will attend the Parade at:
Poole Park
Broadstone RBL
Good evening. Has anyone got a camp bed I can borrow for a couple of weeks as it looks like my stepson will be staying at mine for a couple of weeks. Many thanks Stix1973
Many thanks for the information Stix, it's much appreciated.
Good morning Royal's. I hope you are all well. On the back of my meeting with Jillian reference Remembrance Sunday I now have the following timings: All those wishing to march to the Cenotaph please make yourself known to me and meet at the Cricket Pavilion in Poole Park for 10:20 a.m. Those who feel that the march will be a little too much can go straight to the Cenotaph where there will be more Parade Marshalls available to guide you and I am assured that there will be seating available. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me via here or email me direct at snodds1973@gmail.com. Many thanks and I really look forward to…
Jill and I will be attending the Camp service and lunch. All Friday Club Members if on email in line with the usual info emails will have an invitation to attend. This as was said was not sent to a central RMA contact. The Friday club is as most know basically retired SNCOs who meet up. We were invited to be SBSA members but it’s the meeting of past colleagues including SBS that we cherish and maintain. i lived in the Mess and our our wedding reception was there so I‘m happy to as long as I can use my Life & Hons/Friday Club to still attend as do others in the Branch !!!!
