On Saturday 28 June a team from RMA Poole & District Branch will be manning the Royal Marines Charity gazebo in Falklands Square Poole Town centre. We will be flying the flags for Armed Forces Day and providing the opportunity for the public to engage with us directly to celebrate with us the commitment of the Royal Marines and British Armed Forces to keeping our country safe and secure. Please come on down and join us if you can. All proceeds of the day will go The Royal Marines Charity.
OTHER FUND RAISING
The second Falkland Seminar in the RNLI on 13 June was a great success with an incredible line up of presentations delivered to over 150 guests. There were 9 guests seated at the RMA table and their support was much appreciated. The Royal Marines Charity is one of the beneficiaries from the proceeds of this event.
My 800 miles cycle challenge continues with almost 600 miles completed so far. The challenge runs from VE-Day to Armed Forces Day - so I do need to get peddling! Donations have been rolling in and we passed our target of £800 last week. I decided to see if we could squeeze just a wee bit more out of our families and friends and press on to a £1000 target. I’m sure we can achieve this with your help – every £5 helps and all proceeds go to The Royal Marines Charity.
