New Falklands Memorial
Legal & General the owners of the Dolphin Centre are leading the way with the construction of the new Falkland Square Memorial site, which is progressing at pace to be ready for the rededication of the Memorial on the 14th of June 2023.
In the next few days, we will finalise the details and distribute them to branch members in the hope of a large turnout of former RM veterans and South Atlantic Medal recipients, along with members of all three services, SAMA 82, the RNA and RBL.
In attendance will be The Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, Ian Angus Campbell, representing His Majesty King Charles III and local BCP political leaders along with former Task Force Commanders of the day.
The centenary club will be open for refreshments on completion.
This event has been planned and delivered virtually singlehandedly by our own Vice Charman Tony Ward and the committee asks that all members support what will be a historic event that the Poole and District Branch and the RMA can be proud of and will put the RMA-PDB firmly in the mindset of our community.

I had a good look today, the circular granite surround and a resin base will set off the dressed stone superbly. Savills & TriAgg are leaving no stone unturned (excuse the pun) in making the setting look as decorative as possible.
Coming along nicely
