CTCRM Corps Families weekend - RMA Parade Sunday 14th September.

Updated: Sep 16

Branch members took the opportunity to snap a photo with General Sir Gwyn Jenkins, the 1st Sea Lord, and Commandant General RM following the parade.

The parade was held in the drill shed due to the high possibility of rain. Eight standards were on parade, along with our own, ably carried by Patrick Hopper.

In total, approximately 17 members from the Poole branch attended the event. While some opted to participate solely in the parade, a few adventurous souls chose to camp or glamp over the weekend.

A group of military veterans in uniforms and berets stands in a hall. They pose in front of a banner reading “Gibraltar," with medals displayed.
The photo was taken by the RSM of CTCRM (RSM) WO1 Clark RM

We were also honoured to have several WWII veterans join us in the parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.

The First Sea Lord remarked that he has not yet completed his branch membership form, and we will kindly remind him the next time we meet. Additionally, RSM Clark has offered to attend a branch members' night to discuss the Corps in general, as well as how training is adapting to address emerging global threats and advancements in technology.
